What is Badging?
A simple example of a badge is relating it is Girl Guides or Boy Scouts Badges. However the badges that we are talking now has similar meaning relating to various other environments too, such as Schools, Universities, Work environments and any other skill gathering way.

- Trinity University, TX - Used badges in a communications course to track progress
- Purdue University, IN – Used an application called Passport to manage and issue badges for pilot users for curricular and co-curricular, for-credit courses, and non-credit online courses.
- Menlo College, CA – Piloting with their student workers in their help desk.
- Fresno State University, CA - used classbadges.com for their CI149 course.
- Abilene Christian University, TX – used badges to track the progress of their 10k, K-12 teachers in a professional development program.
- University of Michigan, MI - used their Open.Michigan as a badge pilot
